Small 1-4 student micro-classes at our place or yours — with optional CPR & First Aid

Great news for ACT sparkies and teams: we’ve moved fast to the new UETDRMP018 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel, the replacement for UETDRMP007. Our delivery is designed for tiny, hands-on classes of four (4)—either at our home training space in Gungahlin or onsite at your business—with easy options to bundle CPR (HLTAID009) and First Aid on the same visit. What changed with UETDRMP018?

UETDRMP018 is the updated national unit for low-voltage switchboard rescue. It replaces UETDRMP007 and aligns delivery/assessment to current electricity supply/electrical industry practice. A July-2025 companion guide also confirms changes to prerequisites, shifting the focus to industry familiarity and realistic simulation (rather than mandated prior units). Training.gov.au

In plain English: if your people work on/near LV panels, this is the unit you need going forward. (It’s also the one most networks and employers now expect.) Training.gov.au

Who it’s for

  • Licensed electricians & apprentices

  • Maintenance/facilities teams working near LV panels

  • Contractors needing annual CPR/LVR refresh to meet site or client requirements (employer/authority rules vary—check your site protocols).

What you’ll learn & practise

  • Readiness: kit inspection and workplace requirements

  • Safe isolation & rescue from a live LV panel (scenario-based)

  • Use of LV rescue kit (insulated gloves, crook, torch, blanket, etc.)

  • Post-incident actions and structured handover

  • Optional: HLTAID009 Provide CPR; First Aid upgrade available
